Peter Nygard Victims
Fashion mogul Peter Nygard was arrested for racketeering and sex trafficking charges involving dozens of women. He was convicted in Canadian courts of sexual assault.
Peter Nygard, a Finnish-Canadian fashion mogul worth hundreds of millions, was arrested in Winnipeg, Manitoba on December 14, 2020 on federal charges in the United States, including racketeering and sex trafficking.
Allegations spanned decades. Nygard was accused of using his wealth and fashion empire to lure young women—some underage—to his properties in the Bahamas and elsewhere, where they were drugged and sexually assaulted.
Nygard faced charges in both the U.S. and Canada. In his Canadian trial in 2024, he was convicted of four counts of sexual assault. Additional trials are pending.
The case was often compared to Jeffrey Epstein's, with Nygard similarly using wealth, power, and a network of employees to facilitate the abuse of vulnerable women over many years.
