Brandy Hall
Volusia County firefighter Brandy Hall vanished during her shift at a fire station in DeBary, Florida. Her personal belongings were left behind, and she has never been found.
On August 17, 2006, Brandy Nichole Hall, a 32-year-old Volusia County firefighter and paramedic, vanished during her overnight shift at Fire Station 57 in DeBary, Florida. She was last seen at approximately 1:00 a.m. when she told a colleague she was going outside. When the crew awoke the next morning, Brandy was gone.
Her wallet, cell phone, car keys, and personal vehicle were all left behind at the station. Her firefighting gear and uniform were found neatly arranged. There were no signs of a struggle at the fire station. Surveillance cameras at the station were not functioning at the time of her disappearance.
The investigation revealed that Brandy had been having a relationship with a married man, and her personal life had been turbulent in the period before her disappearance. The Volusia County Sheriff's Office investigated multiple persons of interest but was unable to develop enough evidence for charges.
In 2009, a grand jury was convened to investigate the case but did not return any indictments. Brandy's family has continued to press for answers, and her case has been featured on television crime programs. Despite periodic review of evidence and new leads, Brandy Hall has never been found and no arrests have been made.
