Nine-year-old Jessica Lunsford was abducted from her Homosassa home and murdered by registered sex offender John Couey. Her remains were found in a bag buried near Couey's trailer. She had been buried alive. Couey was convicted and sentenced to death but died in prison of natural causes. Jessica's Law was passed in her memory.
