Tyler Hadley Victims
Seventeen-year-old Tyler Hadley bludgeoned his parents to death with a hammer, hid their bodies in a bedroom, and then hosted a house party. He was sentenced to life.
On July 16, 2011, seventeen-year-old Tyler Hadley bludgeoned both of his parents, Blake and Mary Jo Hadley, to death with a claw hammer in their Port St. Lucie, Florida home. He then spent three hours cleaning up the scene and barricading the master bedroom where he placed their bodies.
That same evening, Tyler hosted a large house party at the home with dozens of teenage guests. He posted about the party on social media and appeared to be in a normal mood, drinking and socializing while his parents' bodies lay in the next room.
A friend whom Tyler had confessed to during the party called police the following morning. Officers found the parents' bodies under towels and debris in the master bedroom.
Tyler Hadley was tried as an adult and convicted of two counts of first-degree murder. He was sentenced to two consecutive life sentences without parole—the maximum allowed for a juvenile in Florida at the time.
