On July 15, 2001, thirty-four-year-old Niqui McCown left her job at a Dayton, Ohio medical facility and was never seen again. Her car was found abandoned at an apartment complex near her workplace the following day.
The investigation focused on several persons of interest, including men Niqui had been dating. Despite the efforts of the Dayton Police Department and the FBI, no arrests have been made.
Niqui's family has remained active in keeping her case in the public eye, and the case has been featured on multiple true crime programs.
