Lauren Spierer
Indiana University student Lauren Spierer vanished after a night out in Bloomington, Indiana. Despite massive searches and national attention, she has never been found.
In the early morning hours of June 3, 2011, twenty-year-old Lauren Spierer, a sophomore at Indiana University, was last seen walking alone near her apartment complex in Bloomington, Indiana, after a night of drinking at several bars and a party.
Surveillance footage and witness accounts pieced together Lauren's movements through the night. She was seen leaving Kilroy's Sports Bar, visiting a friend's apartment, and then walking toward her own apartment without shoes and without her phone or keys. She was last seen at approximately 4:30 a.m.
A massive search involving thousands of volunteers combed Bloomington and the surrounding areas. Several male friends who were with Lauren that night were questioned but retained lawyers and declined to cooperate fully with the investigation.
Lauren Spierer has never been found. Her parents, Robert and Charlene Spierer, have maintained a public campaign through FindLauren.com.
