Teenagers Abby Williams and Libby German were murdered on the Monon High Bridge trail in Delphi, Indiana. Richard Allen was convicted in 2024 after Libby's phone recorded the killer.

On February 13, 2017, fourteen-year-old Liberty 'Libby' German and thirteen-year-old Abigail 'Abby' Williams went hiking on the Monon High Bridge trail near Delphi, Indiana. Their bodies were found the next day in a wooded area.

Libby had secretly recorded video and audio on her cell phone showing a man approaching them on the bridge. The grainy image and a voice saying 'down the hill' were released to the public. Despite millions of tips, the case went unsolved for over five years.

In October 2022, Richard Allen, 50, a Delphi resident and CVS pharmacy employee, was arrested and charged with the murders. He had actually been briefly interviewed in 2017 but was not considered a suspect until a tip was re-examined.

Allen was convicted of two counts of murder in 2024 and sentenced to 130 years in prison. His defense claimed he had been coerced into confessing while in custody.
