Richard Allen (Delphi)
Richard Allen was convicted in 2024 of the Delphi murders of Abby Williams and Libby German. He was identified five years after the crime despite being interviewed early in the investigation.
Richard Allen, 50, of Delphi, Indiana was arrested on October 28, 2022 for the February 2017 murders of Abigail Williams and Liberty German. He had worked at a local CVS pharmacy and lived in the small town the entire time.
Allen had actually been contacted by police in 2017 as part of the massive tip investigation—he admitted being on the trail that day. However, his tip was misfiled and not re-examined until 2022.
While in custody, Allen made multiple confessions to his wife and mother during recorded phone calls and to prison guards. His defense claimed these confessions were the result of psychological deterioration caused by solitary confinement.
Allen was convicted of two counts of murder in November 2024 after a dramatic trial that included testimony about Odinism-related evidence the defense had presented as an alternative theory. He was sentenced to 130 years in prison.
