Nine-months-pregnant Jessie Davis vanished from her Ohio home. Her boyfriend, Canton police officer Bobby Cutts Jr., was convicted of her murder.

On June 14, 2007, twenty-six-year-old Jessie Davis, nine months pregnant, disappeared from her home in Lake Township, Stark County, Ohio. Her two-year-old son Blake was found alone and unharmed in the home, which showed signs of a struggle. Jessie's bleach-stained comforter was missing.

Jessie's boyfriend was Bobby Cutts Jr., a Canton City police officer who was the father of both Blake and her unborn baby. Despite initially participating in the search, Cutts came under suspicion.

On July 21, 2007, after questioning by FBI agents, Cutts led investigators to Jessie's body, which had been dumped in a park in Summit County. She and her unborn daughter—whom she had planned to name Chloe—were dead.

Cutts was convicted of aggravated murder and sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 57 years. The case highlighted the dangers of domestic violence and the particular vulnerability of pregnant women.
