Two-year-old DeOrr Kunz Jr. vanished from a campsite in the mountains near Leadore, Idaho. Despite extensive searches, he has never been found. His parents are considered persons of interest.

On July 10, 2015, two-year-old DeOrr Jay Kunz Jr. vanished from the Timber Creek Campground in the mountains of Lemhi County, Idaho, while on a camping trip with his parents, his grandfather, and the grandfather's friend. His father, DeOrr Kunz Sr., reported the boy missing, saying he had looked away for a few minutes.

An intensive search of the rugged mountain terrain was launched, involving search and rescue teams, cadaver dogs, divers, and aircraft. The campground sits at approximately 7,000 feet elevation and is surrounded by dense forest. Despite extensive efforts, no trace of the toddler was found.

The investigation by the Lemhi County Sheriff's Office and FBI raised questions about the parents' account of events. Both parents failed polygraph examinations, and their stories contained inconsistencies. Private investigators hired by the family also expressed doubts about the parents' account.

DeOrr Kunz Sr. and the boy's mother, Jessica Mitchell, have been named as persons of interest but have not been charged. The absence of any physical evidence—no clothing, tracks, or remains—in such a remote and harsh environment has baffled investigators.
