Suzy Lamplugh (suspect)
Estate agent Suzy Lamplugh vanished after leaving to meet a client named 'Mr. Kipper' in London. Serial killer John Cannan is the prime suspect but has never been charged. Suzy was declared dead in 1994.
On July 28, 1986, Suzy Lamplugh, a 25-year-old estate agent, left her office in Fulham, London to show a property to a client she had recorded as 'Mr. Kipper.' She was never seen again.
Suzy's car was found parked about a mile from the property with her purse inside. There were no signs of a struggle. She was declared dead in 1994, presumed murdered.
John Cannan, a convicted rapist and murderer released from prison just days before Suzy's disappearance, has been named as the prime suspect. He had used the alias 'Kipper' and matched witness descriptions. Police searched properties linked to Cannan in 2018.
Despite extensive investigation, no body has been found and no charges have been brought. The Suzy Lamplugh Trust, established by Suzy's mother, became a leading personal safety charity in the UK.
