Robert William Fisher
Robert Fisher is wanted for killing his wife and two children and blowing up their Scottsdale home to cover the crime. He has been a fugitive since 2001.
On April 10, 2001, an explosion and fire destroyed a home in Scottsdale, Arizona. Inside the wreckage, firefighters found the bodies of Mary Fisher, 38, and the couple's two children, Brittney, 12, and Bobby Jr., 10. All three had their throats slashed before the house was set ablaze.
The investigation quickly focused on Robert William Fisher, the husband and father, who was nowhere to be found. His SUV was discovered abandoned several days later near Payson, Arizona, at a trailhead leading into the rugged Tonto National Forest.
Fisher, a former firefighter and avid outdoorsman, was placed on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list in 2002. Investigators believe his knowledge of wilderness survival could enable him to live off the grid for extended periods.
Despite numerous reported sightings across the United States and internationally over more than two decades, Fisher has never been apprehended. The case remains one of the FBI's most prominent open investigations.
