Madeline Kingsbury
Twenty-six-year-old Madeline Kingsbury vanished after being dropped off by her ex-boyfriend Adam Fravel in Winona, Minnesota. Fravel was convicted of her murder.
On March 31, 2023, twenty-six-year-old Madeline Kingsbury disappeared in Winona, Minnesota. Her ex-boyfriend and father of her two children, Adam Fravel, told police he had dropped her off at their shared home after taking the children to daycare. She was never seen again.
Volunteers and law enforcement conducted extensive searches of the Winona area. On June 7, 2023, Madeline's body was found in a rural area of Fillmore County, about 30 miles from Winona.
Fravel was arrested and charged with second-degree murder. The investigation revealed a history of domestic abuse and controlling behavior. Evidence including Fravel's internet searches and cell phone data contradicted his account.
Fravel was convicted of first-degree and second-degree murder in 2024 and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
