Orsolya Gaal
Orsolya Gaal was stabbed nearly 60 times in her Queens home and her body was placed in a duffel bag. Her former handyman David Bonola pleaded guilty to manslaughter.
On April 16, 2022, a trail of blood led police from a duffel bag abandoned on a sidewalk in Forest Hills, Queens to the home of Orsolya Gaal, a 51-year-old mother of two. She had been stabbed nearly 60 times inside her home.
The duffel bag containing her body had been wheeled through the quiet residential neighborhood in the early morning hours. Security cameras captured the suspect pulling the bag behind him.
David Bonola, 44, a handyman who had done work on the Gaal family home, was arrested days later. He had been in a sexual relationship with Orsolya and told police they had argued about ending the affair.
Bonola pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter in 2023 and was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
