Type Serial Killer Victims
Date January 27, 1996
Location Perth, Australia
Victim Age Unknown
Gender Female

Three women vanished from the upscale suburb of Claremont in Perth, Australia between 1996-1997. Telstra technician Bradley Edwards was convicted of two murders in 2020.

Between 1996 and 1997, three young women disappeared after nights out in Claremont, an affluent suburb of Perth, Western Australia. Sarah Spiers (18) vanished on January 27, 1996; Jane Rimmer (23) on June 9, 1996; and Ciara Glennon (27) on March 14, 1997. The bodies of Rimmer and Glennon were found in bushland; Spiers has never been found.

The investigation became the longest and most expensive in Western Australian history. It spanned over two decades and involved new forensic techniques including DNA analysis of fibers found on the victims.

In 2016, Bradley Robert Edwards, a Telstra technician, was arrested. DNA evidence linked him to the crimes, specifically fibers from his Telstra-issued work car found on Ciara Glennon's body.

In 2020, Edwards was convicted of the murders of Rimmer and Glennon and acquitted of Spiers' murder due to insufficient evidence (her body has never been found). He was sentenced to life with a minimum of 40 years.
