Ana Walshe (Brian Walshe case)
Ana Walshe vanished from her Cohasset, Massachusetts home on New Year's Day. Her husband Brian was caught on camera buying cleaning supplies and was charged with murder.
On January 4, 2023, Ana Walshe, 39, was reported missing from her home in Cohasset, Massachusetts. Her husband Brian initially claimed she had taken a ride-share to the airport for a work trip on January 1, but no evidence of this trip existed.
Surveillance footage showed Brian purchasing cleaning supplies, including mops, tarps, and trash bags, at a Home Goods store. Investigators found blood and a damaged knife in the basement of the couple's home.
Human remains—blood and body parts—were found in trash bags at a transfer station in Peabody, Massachusetts. DNA confirmed they belonged to Ana. Brian's internet search history revealed searches for 'how to dispose of a body' and 'dismemberment.'
Brian Walshe was charged with murder and misleading investigators. He pleaded not guilty. The case remains pending trial as of 2024.
