Thirteen-year-old Dylan Redwine disappeared during a court-ordered visit with his father Mark in Bayfield, Colorado. Mark Redwine was convicted of his murder in 2021.

On November 19, 2012, thirteen-year-old Dylan Redwine traveled from his mother's home in Colorado Springs to his father Mark Redwine's home near Bayfield, Colorado, for a court-ordered Thanksgiving visit. Dylan and his father had a strained relationship. Mark reported Dylan missing the following day.

Despite extensive searches of the rugged terrain around Bayfield, Dylan was not found. In June 2013, hikers discovered some of Dylan's remains in a remote area about 10 miles from Mark's home. Additional remains, including Dylan's skull, were found in 2015.

The investigation focused on Mark Redwine, who had been the last person to see Dylan alive. Evidence revealed that Dylan had found disturbing photographs on his father's computer and had confronted him about them, providing a possible motive.

Mark Redwine was arrested in 2017 and charged with second-degree murder and child abuse. He was convicted in 2021 and sentenced to 48 years in prison.
