On May 25, 2001, twenty-one-year-old Claudia Kirschhoch, a Boise State University student, left a friend's apartment in Boise, Idaho, during the early morning hours. She was never seen again.
Her car was found parked near the Boise River, but searches of the river and surrounding areas found no trace of Claudia. Her personal belongings, including her purse and identification, were missing.
The Boise Police Department investigated the case extensively, following leads across Idaho and neighboring states. Several persons of interest were identified but no charges were ever filed.
Claudia's family has kept her case in the public eye, and the Idaho State Police cold case unit periodically reviews the evidence. Her case remains one of Idaho's most prominent unsolved missing person cases.
