Ten-month-old Lisa Irwin vanished from her crib in Kansas City, Missouri during the night. Her mother said she was drunk and did not check on the baby. Despite a massive investigation, Lisa was never found.

On the night of October 3-4, 2011, ten-month-old Lisa Renee Irwin disappeared from her crib at the family home on North Lister Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri. Her father, Jeremy Irwin, returned from his night shift around 4:00 a.m. to find the front door unlocked, several lights on, the window open, and Lisa's crib empty.

Lisa's mother, Deborah Bradley, told investigators she had last seen Lisa at 6:40 p.m. when she put her to bed and that she (Deborah) had been drinking heavily that evening and did not check on the baby again. Deborah initially said she went to bed at 10:30 p.m., but later revised this to say she was up past midnight and was drunk. She told police three cell phones in the house were missing.

A neighbor reported seeing a man walking through the neighborhood carrying a baby at approximately 4:00 a.m. The missing cell phones were traced to a dumpster nearby. The FBI and Kansas City police conducted an extensive investigation, including searches of the family's property, a nearby pond, and surrounding areas. Cadaver dogs reportedly alerted near the Irwin home.

Deborah Bradley and Jeremy Irwin stopped cooperating with police after early interviews, hiring an attorney. They maintained their innocence and appeared on national television pleading for Lisa's return. Police described the parents as not being cleared but also never charged them. No one has been arrested, and Lisa Irwin has never been found.
