Serial killer Israel Keyes murdered at least 3 people but is suspected of killing 11 or more across the US. He pre-planned murders using buried 'kill kits.' He died by suicide in jail.

Israel Keyes was a serial killer who murdered at least three confirmed victims across the United States between 2001 and 2012. He is suspected of killing up to 11 people. His crimes were notable for their meticulous planning and lack of pattern.

Keyes traveled extensively across the country, pre-burying 'kill kits' containing weapons, zip ties, and other tools years before committing murders near those locations. He deliberately chose victims with no connection to himself.

He was arrested in March 2012 in connection with the kidnapping and murder of Samantha Koenig, an 18-year-old barista in Anchorage, Alaska. He confessed to murdering Bill and Lorraine Currier in Vermont in 2011 and provided partial details about other victims.

Keyes died by suicide in his Anchorage jail cell on December 2, 2012, before revealing all his victims' identities. The FBI released information from his interviews in hopes of connecting him to other unsolved cases nationwide.
