Dorothy Puente was a Sacramento boardinghouse operator who poisoned elderly tenants and continued cashing their Social Security checks. Seven bodies were found buried in her yard in 1988. She was convicted of three murders and died in prison in 2011. She remains one of history's most notorious female serial killers.
