Fourteen-year-old Abigail Hernandez was kidnapped while walking home from school in Conway, New Hampshire. She was held captive for nearly nine months by Nathaniel Kibby. She was found alive in 2014. Kibby pleaded guilty to kidnapping and other charges and was sentenced to 45 years in prison. Her survival was remarkable.
